Today we are proud to announce that Prodtex, in cooperation with a Volvo team, on the September 15th 2014, won the “Volvo Cars Technology Award”. For more than 15 years, staff from Prodtex AB have been working with industry solutions that streamline processes and increase the competitiveness of Swedish industrial companies.

Prodtex have developed so-called Extends, an addition to the DELMIA V5 called BIW-Util (BIW = Body in White). The design and development has been made by Samuel Lindholm, and as a functional base has been used, “Prodtex Fixture Library.” BIW-Util has proven itself in numerous projects at Volvo Cars.
“This is really a break through and by using the V5 add-on, BiW-Util, Volvo Cars has been able to decrease the time spent for fixture design with more than 50% in the Simultaneous Engineering phase” says the Manager at Virtual Manufacturing Engineering at Volvo cars.
