In February 2016 Prodtex become members at the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) in Sheffield, UK. Having worked with the AMRC on numerous research projects in the past achieving membership status is seen as the next step in developing our relationship with the AMRC itself as well as the other AMRC members
The University of Sheffield Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) with Boeing is a world-class centre for advanced machining and materials research for aerospace and other high-value manufacturing sectors. The revolutionary, glass-walled “reconfigurable factory” is at the heart of the University of Sheffield’s new advanced manufacturing campus on Sheffield Business Park. Factory 2050 is home to the Integrated Manufacturing Group, which is installing the cutting edge manufacturing and assembly technologies, advanced robotics, flexible automation, next generation man-machine interfaces and new programming and training tools that will drive its research.
